While there’s always been an art to using video to share information, explainer videos take that to a whole new level.

Explainers, Hand Drawn, Story Board, Animatics: These are titles of a style of video production gaining in popularity. They feature a hand drawing, animated characters, or storyboard slides explaining something. We see them all over social media and corporate websites selling, teaching… explaining.

“Good companies with great products go under every day. The difference is made when a business can quickly translate what they do and how they do it better to the masses. In my experience, there is not a more powerful marketing tool than the explainer video.” – Dale Partridge, Startup Camp

Many explainer videos use engaging, colorful graphics or a simple black and white line drawing style. The VO is often extremely casual, chatty and conversational sounding even when addressing complicated subject matter as the goal of this style of video is to often to take a complex topic and make it easily understandable and seemingly simple.

Why are explainers so popular these days? This form of video is often a more affordable option than having to hire actors and a full production crew to create a live-action video.

Kelley Buttrick has been the female voice on hundreds of explainer videos simplifying complex information for technology, medical, financial and business clients like Amazon, Oracle, Disney, RIOT Games, IBM, Proctor & Gamble, Lowes, Mercedes Benz, CVS Pharmacy, and many more.

We work with so many different clients. And when we have to super-serve them with a voice we know they’re going to love, and who will knock the project out of the park, Kelley is our first call. She’s a voice talent that we can trust. When we have clients in the studio, she’s professional, funny and makes the process enjoyable for everyone involved.
