Do Dogs Talk?

These “Dawgs” do. Meet the Talking Dogs team of talented UGA Grady College students I worked with this summer. By the way, at least 1/2 of them are up for permanent hire…I’m just sayin’ (bios below).

UGA’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication recently restructured their student run PR & Advertising agency, and they are killing it!!!! They wrote then directed me through several radio ads for their portfolios and pitched stories to some fun podcasts. Collaborating with some of my favorite local clients, they blew me away with a huge collection of testimonial videos. Here are a few sneak peaks:

Let’s meet the Talking Dogs!

Jake MacCracken was the awesome alpha dog leading the pack, making it look effortless to knock out projects for the Talking Dogs amid wrapping up his senior year classes, graduating, moving and job hunting. Impressive is not enough to describe Jake’s attitude, skill set, and tremendous talent.

Jake just graduated with an AB in Advertising from UGA’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, along with a minor in Culinary Sciences & Nutrition and a certificate in New Media. As a “Jake of All Trades,” he is able to jump in and fit wherever he is needed, from project management to creative design and even data analysis. Jake also enjoys photography, making food for his friends and the (occasional) glass of wine – his favorite is Malbec.

As soon as Matt shared his concept for a radio ad where a woman is comparing her ex-husband to a fruit in order to market kiwis, I knew this young creative was pure gold!

Matt also just graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of the Arts in Advertising. Like many recent grads, his interests include: applying for jobs, interviewing for jobs, and religiously checking his email. As a young professional Matt has set several career goals for himself.

“The first of which is to land a Junior Copywriter position at an agency. Next, and this one is key to the success of my career, is to keep said job. Then I will eventually work my way up to Senior Copywriter, and one day even Creative Director, or stay-at-home dad. I’m not picky.”

Marq Norris is the pup of the pack, so don’t get too excited and hire him up just yet, but I’m sure he’d be open to an internship or part-time position. He wrote all of the pitches and doesn’t just think outside the box, he jumps on and obliterates it. His ideas are brilliant!

Marq is a third-year student at the University of Georgia majoring in Public Relations with a Communication and Design and Media minor. Aiming to specialize in crisis communications, he’s interested in digital platforms, research, and communications strategy. When he isn’t working, you can find him traveling, catching up with friends, or expressing his creativity through dance, writing, or photography.

After graduation, Marq plans to move to NYC and work in an agency before enrolling at the University of Southern California to get his Masters in Strategic Public Relations.”

Kinsey White has the best energy! You can’t help but smile back when she flashes her genuine grin your way. Behind her bright eyes is a brilliant brain powering a spot-on eye for design.

Kinsey is a recent graduate from the University of Georgia with a degree in Advertising. During her time at UGA she had the opportunity to work for clients such as Coca-Cola and Twitter as an Art Director. She is passionate about interior design, graphic design, and creative concepting. Kinsey is currently working as a Junior Graphic Designer for Base Brands in Atlanta, GA.

Just some of the clients that trust Kelley with their message...
